The only other Electra 2221 I've seen is in a picture on an Electra forum.
It is missing the handle and one latch but will keep your guitar very well.
Although it does not say Electra on it, it does look like the standard vintage case that was used at the time. I am fairly sure the case came with the guitar new. You may have to try it to know what I mean, but it's sweet! The tremolo is soft too but works great and doesn't pull the guitar out of tune.The case is in real good condition and a very nice case. Very soft action, not extremely low, just soft. It's a little straighter than standard.008” but it plays well where it's at. Intonation is good and truss rod is adjusted close to specs. It does not effect the playability or look of the guitar and is not bad enough to repair or worry about. There is one place on the side of the guitar where the top is slightly seperated from the side and another nick by the neck, see 4th& 5th pictures. The finish also has some minor scratching from wear and use. more great shape except for some belt rash markings on the back. The finish is a beautiful translucent cherry red(which shows the wood grain) with cream bindings and pearl inlays in the fretboard. I will include them in case you want to re-install them. The bridge height adjustment wheels have been removed to lower the action. There is a slight blemish where it was drilled in the wrong place and then repaired(not noticeable unless you lookfor it. There has been a third hole added to the pick-guard and it has been fastened using the pickup mount screw to keeps the pick-guard solid. It is all original except for the truss-rod cover which is custom. It was likely produced in 1980 or 1981 by Matsumoko of Matsumoko, Japan.

This Board was ordered by the TV Producers for the Baywatch TV Series and could have been used as a movie prop during the filming. In all its glory, the one and the only"Baywatch Surfboard.
